The roadmap
What’s live, what’s being built, and what’s planned. No hiding the gaps, no dressing up "planned" as "live."

What's changed
A running, honest log. This is a young list right now, that's the point, it's meant to grow.

Started building this in the open
The whole home for live music was always the plan, band websites were just the first useful slice of it. This was the day we had enough real bands to start building the rest of it, and the roadmap went public from here on, not a surprise. Band websites and management are live today. The musician board is in testing.

Musician board and gig guide are both live
The musician board is out of testing, real posts only, no seeded fake activity. The gig guide has joined it: every upcoming public gig from every band's own diary, in one place, searchable by place, date or venue. Both are free to use.

Venue pages are live
A proper home for venues, not just bands: real addresses and directions for over 33,000 UK venues, sourced from OpenStreetMap, plus every upcoming gig booked there from bands' own diaries. Venues can claim their page for free.

Gig alerts are live
Follow a band from their own page, and you'll get emailed the moment they add a new public date. No algorithm deciding whether you get to see it. Free, and see who you're following any time on the gig alerts page.

Band directory is live
Search every real band on Bandhamster by name, region, genre or covers/originals — real results, not three-year-old Facebook pages. Follow a band straight from its card.

Bookings are live
Mark an enquiry booked and the booker gets a real written confirmation by email on the spot, no more waiting on a reply to know it's settled. One click carries it straight into the band's gig diary too, so it's already on the calendar and the public gig guide.

The blog is live
The real story of building this, in order, mistakes included, plus practical guides for anyone running a band. No marketing team, no polish pass — written by the two of us as it happens.

A proper start for new bands
A "Finish your site" checklist in Backstage so a new band knows exactly what's left before their page is ready, plus a couple of honest nudge emails a few days in if something's still unfinished. No dark patterns, just a reminder.

Embed your gigs anywhere
A venue or band can now paste one line into their own website and show their real upcoming gigs there, live, themed to match their site, with Add to calendar and Follow for alerts built right in. Free, from the venue or band's own dashboard — embed it once and never touch it again.
