Three Pillars in One Day

Some days you ship one thing carefully. This was not one of those days: gig alerts, the band directory, and real bookings all went out together.

Gig alerts is the simplest and maybe the most quietly useful: follow a band from their own page, and the moment they add a new date, you get an email. No algorithm deciding whether you deserve to see it. You followed them, you find out, that's it.

The band directory finally answered “can I actually search for a band on here”, by name, region, genre, covers or originals. Real results only, not three-year-old Facebook pages that haven't posted since a lineup change nobody announced.

And bookings closed the loop the enquiry funnel always needed: mark an enquiry booked, and the person who booked you gets a real written confirmation on the spot, no more sitting there wondering if the reply actually landed. One click and it's already on the band's calendar and in the public gig guide too.

Shipping three real things in a day sounds impressive written down. In practice it mostly meant a very long day of testing three things against each other to make sure none of them quietly broke one of the others. They didn't. We checked twice. Then a third time out of paranoia.
