Embed Your Gigs Anywhere
A real gig calendar is a chore to keep current anywhere other than the one place it actually lives. You update your band's diary on Bandhamster, and that's great, but if you've also got your own website, you're either retyping every date a second time or letting it quietly go stale. We wanted that to just not be a problem anymore.
So now a venue or band can paste one line into their own site and it shows their real upcoming gigs, pulled live from the same diary every other page on Bandhamster already reads. Embed it once, never touch it again. It matches the colours of whatever site it's sitting on instead of looking like a foreign box dropped in. And it's not just a static list: Add to calendar and Follow for alerts are both built right into it, so someone reading it on a venue's own website can act on it without needing to find Bandhamster first.
The best version of “keep your gigs updated everywhere” is the one where you only ever update them in one place.
We tested it properly too, not just “does the page load”. We built a scratch page on a completely different local address, pretending to be some venue's own site, and iframed the widget into it for real. It worked. Then we iframed the actual Bandhamster homepage into the same test page, to make sure we hadn't accidentally loosened something site-wide while we were at it. It correctly refused to load, exactly like it should. Small thing, but it's the difference between “we think this is safe” and “we checked”.
It's live now, free, from your own dashboard. The next bit matters more than the feature itself: actually telling the venues and bands already here that it exists. A widget nobody knows about doesn't help anyone.
